Practical information about our dance classes

Empty

No, our classes are designed for dancers of all levels, from beginners to advanced. We offer different levels of classes to cater to varying skill levels, so you can start from scratch or continue building on your existing dance experience.

We recommend wearing comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely. For footwear, it’s best to wear dance shoes or shoes with smooth soles that allow you to turn easily. Avoid non-flexible shoes, as they can impede movement.

Ladies, it is not required to wear heels while Salsa dancing. You can totally wear your comfy sneakers. Then, as you begin to feel more practiced, feel free to pop on a pair of heels, or not.

If you are about to start off on your first partnering dance class, expect that you’re going to make contact with new people. To avoid any awkward moments or self-consciousness, wear clean clothes, bring a mint, some deodorant, a towel and relax into the experience. It can also help to get familiar with the music. We have some Spotify playlists on out homepage to help you get familiar with our dance styles and counts.

Yes, you can join the classes at any time. We start new courses every few weeks, so you have the flexibility to start when it suits you best.
Yes, all our classes are taught in English. However, most of our teachers also speak Dutch, so you can ask questions in either language during class.
Absolutely! You can register for the classes with or without a dance partner. If you come alone, we rotate dance partners during the classes to ensure everyone gets a chance to dance.

You’re welcome to dance with the same partner throughout all our classes, so don’t feel obligated to participate in the partner rotation system. However, we will occasionally recommend switching partners to help you master the art of (non-verbal) leading and following, but it is always your choice to switch or not.
